Franz Ferdinand - Blood
Blood is a companion album consisting of dub versions of three-fourths of the songs from Tonight: Franz Ferdinand. It was originally featured as part of the limited-release European box set & double disc versions of that previous album, and now they have released it worldwide…with an extra song that was not included on the limited-release version.

Best Song of January 2009
January didn’t produce very many noteworthy songs (or albums, really,) and, unfortunately, the best one (The Bird and the Bee’s “Polite Dance Song”) was actually released for the first time in 2007, effectively disqualifying it for this title.

Tonight: Franz Ferdinand
Tonight: Franz Ferdinand doesn’t sound exactly like the Franz Ferdinand that you remember. The production levels on this album are a definite step up from the previous two releases and the most striking new element is the rich, full sound. They also toned down the guitars and added some synthesizers to the mix, while still managing to retain most of their signature sound.
