EPs are not the ideal format to release music when your fans have been waiting to hear new music from you for years. They are, however, a great way for a band to get some music out into the world, to supplement an already released album or to preview an upcoming album.

The DJ Food project was conceived as a way to provide disc jockeys with musical sustenance (“food for DJs”) by the members of Coldcut, Jonathan More and Matt Black. It was initially a collective studio project and more than half a dozen people have been involved over the years, but it has been a solo effort headed by Strictly Kev since 2002.

The Honey Trees - Wake the Earth

The Honey Trees are an indie band from Sacramento, California and their seven song EP, Wake the Earth, was released on March 10, 2009. Becky Filip started the Honey Trees project in 2004, but Jacob Wick did not become a part of the equation until 2008 and this EP is the first thing that they have produced together as a band.

Warpaint - Exquisite Corpse

The tubes of the intarwebz do not contain very much information about Warpaint. They are an unsigned band from California consisting of three girls and a guy that recently self-released a five song EP called Exquisite Corpse. The girls play the bass and two guitars and they all contribute to the vocals while the guy plays the drums.
