For the month of April, there were six songs that made the list. Silversun Pickups with “It's Nice To Know You Work Alone,” “Burning Bridges” from k-os, Immaculate Machine with “Sound The Alarms,” “Pennies” from Lady Sovereign, Bat For Lashes with  “Pearl's Dream” and “Gold Guns Girls” from the band that was my favorite for a few years, Metric.

Metric: Live at Metropolis

The Canadian indie band Metric recorded a live DVD at the Metropolis theatre in Montreal and cleverly titled it Metric: Live at Metropolis. It came out in February and it’s their first live video, but it wasn’t really what I wanted from them. Last year Metric finally released Grow up and Blow Away, their “debut” album recorded in 2001, and that was equally disappointing.
