Best Song of November 2009

By Nick Manteris · 0 Comments · Leave a Comment

Norah Jones

There were ten songs in the running for the month of November, but one of them almost stood out enough to invalidate the others. A list with only one song on it would be boring though. Here are the songs that almost didn’t make the cut: “Why Can’t I Forget Him” by Blakroc, Cheryl Cole’s “Rain On Me,” the Cunninlynguists with “Imperial,” “Assassin” by John Mayer, the cast from the TV show Glee singing “Hate On Me,” Lady Gaga with “Telephone,” Julian Casablancas’ “River of Brakelights,” “Symmetry” by The Mary Onettes, “No One Loves Me & Neither Do I” by Them Crooked Vultures and Weezer’s “Can’t Stop Partying.” Just between these songs the best one would have been “No One Loves Me & Neither Do I” by Them Crooked Vultures, but there was one more song in November and – even though it’s nothing like most of the others – it was just better. The best song of November is “It’s Gonna Be” by Norah Jones.
