The Black Keys - Brothers
The Black Keys are vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney and Brothers is the sixth blues-rock album that the duo has recorded. Their previous album, Attack and Release, featured production from Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton and he really helped fill out their sound. (Also – I must admit – I have a slight Danger Mouse bias.

The Dead Weather - Sea of Cowards
They must have gone straight back into the studio as soon as their tour ended because it’s been less than a year and The Dead Weather have already recorded a sophomore album, Sea of Cowards.

Alexx Calise - In Avanti
In Avanti is the second solo album from singer-songwriter Alexx Calise and Alexx herself forwarded us a copy of the album to review. Ludacris - Battle of the Sexes
Battle of the Sexes, the seventh full-length from southern rapper Ludacris, is roughly on the same level as his last release, but Theater of the Mind was actually a step down from anything that had come before and, coincidentally, was his first album without a platinum certification. The original premise for Battle of the Sexes, obviously, was supposed to be guys vs.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
Gorillaz are a virtual band (very much like Alvin and the Chipmunks or Josie and the Pussycats) that was created in the late 90s by Jamie Hewlett, the artist/co-creator of Tank Girl, and Damon Albarn, the singer for Blur.
